Reader's comment about the weird television photos:

Hi, I’m from Dunedin, New Zealand and this photo was taken by my partner a year ago after we had a small win in a lottery. After going on a spending spree we decided to take a photo of what we had brought to e-mail to our folks to show them that the money was being put to good use.

I wasn’t in the room at the time but my partner said that he stood up on the couch in order to stop the glare on the TV from a near by window. He used a "Yahoo" digital camera.

On the TV at the time was a British drama called "Brideshead Revisited" staring Jeremy Irons, and anyone who knows of the program would know that the only thing that is scary about it is the bad eighties hair. There is in no way any scenes of horror or ghostly faces. Just a bunch of upper class British folk sitting around talking about how "spiffing" life was.

So you would imagine my surprise when I was about to e-mail the photo to my parents and I noticed what looks like two faces in the TV. One looking over Jeremy’s shoulder and another kinda sneaking in on the left hand side.

I have absolutely no idea of what they are. The flat we were living in at the time was over a hundred years old but in the year that we stayed there we saw no ghostly activity at all. It was damp, smelly, moldy and falling apart around us and quite frankly I hated the place, (we were poor students and thought that for the price and location it was a bargain, HA!)

Anyway I sent the photo off to different ghost sites last year and all of them said that they couldn’t explain the phenomena.

    What happened to me on a Sunday 18 months ago has so impressed me that the experience feels as if it has only just happened yesterday. The television was on but as it was a repeat so I decided to read. Then I head the distinctive voice of my brother-in-law "It's all right" I heard him say.

    I looked up and stood about 6ft away was what I can only describe as a projection of him. He wore a green checked shirt and brown trousers. He looked a little nervous and was wringing his hands. He spoke again "I've come round to say cheerio- now it's my turn to go" And then he just disappeared into thin air.

    Although I had heard that he had gone into hospital I had no idea that he was so seriously ill. I had my 'vision' of him at 7.43 p.m. My brother-in-law had died only moments ago at 7.30. In addition, my son, who I hadn't spoken too, saw the spirit at his house at 2 p.m. Again my brother-in-law was wringing his hands.

    At the time I was relaxed and of course sober. My astonishing experience was as real as day. I would be prepared to take a lie detector test to prove that what I saw was absolutely real.

    I'm sure that you're telling the truth. Most of the reports of spirit sightings come at the time of, or near to, a death. You can hardly believe how real it is when the spirit world are able to manifest directly to you. You must find it very reassuring to have such convincing proof that your brother-in-law's spirit has survived bodily death.
