  FATHER'S GHOSTLY FAREWELL
  
  I was with my father when he collapsed at home from a massive heart attack. I tried to resuscitate him, as we waited for the ambulance, but unfortunately his breathing stopped and he died. Suddenly there was a huge flash of light that lit up the whole room, then I saw a bright light move along the edge of the ceiling and out of the window. This all happened in broad daylight.
  
  After the funeral we gathered at my house. The sitting room door was half open and I saw stood there the full figure of my father. It wasn't a trick of the light or shadows on the wall- he was real. I looked away and rubbed my eyes to be certain that what I saw was true and looked again. He stood there for about another 6 seconds smiled at me, turned, so I could see his full profile, and disappeared. That was the last time I saw him.

  Many nurses describe bright lights floating over the heads of patients that have just passed away. Your experience was particularly intense because of your close emotional bond with dad. He made his final farewell at the funeral when you most needed to know that he was alright.

  I work at Glasgow University and as I was going up the stairs to my department I saw the vision of a male ghost. He wore a long black jacket, had long hair, a white face and no shoes on his feet. Then he disappeared. I wasn't afraid but felt very curious about what had happened.
